விளிம்பு அல்ல · முடிச்சுThe Node, Not the Periphery
Sri Lanka's Tamil Śaiva civilisation is not a peripheral offshoot of a South-Indian mainland. It is a node on a 12-century Indian-Ocean network — Red Sea to Muziris to Mannar to Jaffna to Khuan Luk Pat to Quanzhou to Barus — whose depth predates the Mahāvaṃsa frame and is visible in genome, archaeology, epigraphy, iconography and manuscript record. The defence therefore does not need to shout. It needs to be filed.
Eleven dossiers indexed and cross-linked. Each names the Tier-A sources, the site pages that already carry the argument, and the forum the dossier is procedurally addressable to. No submissions filed in TLTE voice.
A standing capacity so that any one of the eleven can be filed on demand — UNESCO 1970, ICPRCP, ILO 169, ICCPR Art 27, Rome Statute, UN treaty bodies — without depending on any single chambers, MP, or campaign.
Tamil-Brāhmī sherds at Anurādhapura (c. 500–350 BCE), Pomparippu urn burials (c. 1000–500 BCE), Vallipuram gold plate (2nd c. CE). A stratigraphic layer sitting below the Mahāvaṃsa's own composition date.
Ranaweera et al. 2014 · Reich et al. 2009 · Narasimhan et al. 2019 · Shinde et al. 2019. A converging peer-reviewed floor that the North-Indian Vijaya founding is invisible biologically.
Berenike & Quseir al-Qadim (Egypt) · Pattanam/Muziris · Khuan Luk Pat (Thailand) · Quanzhou (China) · Barus (Sumatra). Twelve centuries of Tamil-Brāhmī and Śaiva presence on the Indian-Ocean lattice.
Koneswaram · Ketheeswaram · Naguleswaram · Tondeswaram · Munneswaram. The island-scale Tamil-Śaiva grid — including the 1622 Portuguese destruction dossier for Tiru-kōṇēśvaram.
Padma Kaimal, Art Bulletin 1999. The 'pan-Indian cosmic dancer' reading is a late-colonial overlay retrojected onto a 10th-c. Chola Tamil-Śaiva icon rooted in Chidambaram.
UNESCO Memory of the World 2005 (IFP Śaiva Siddhānta) · Ayodhya SC 2019 accepting 369-year-old manuscripts as legal evidence · 1981 Jaffna Library biblioclasm.
Tamil Nadu workshop production, Chola-period. ICPRCP-indexable. Never subject to formal repatriation. Held in the Colombo National Museum.
Tamil palm-leaf manuscript science as living epistemology. Fell into abeyance everywhere but Tamil-speaking southern India (UNESCO 2005 finding). The instrument, not just its content.
Gunawardana 1990 · Indrapala 2005 · Coningham (Anurādhapura Project) · Sivasundaram 2013. The scholarly concessions that the Mahāvaṃsa is Mahāvihāra ideology, not ethnography.
Whanganui River Act 2017 · Te Urewera 2014 · Sámi Fosen 2021 · ILO 169 · ICCPR Art 27 · Tarim mummies (Nature 2021) · UNITAD Yezidi · ICJ Gambia v. Myanmar · Ainu repatriation · UNESCO Occitan. A procedural toolkit for stateless-continuity claims.
The magic move. Every dossier mapped to UNESCO 1970 · ICPRCP · ILO 169 · ICCPR Art 27 · Rome Statute · UNESCO MoW · relevant UN treaty bodies. Forum architecture is the bottleneck, not evidence.
- · Not a claim that 'Tamils were first' and 'Sinhalese are foreign'. The genome shows both populations are closer to each other than to mainland Indians (Ranaweera 2014). The frame is stratigraphic and networked, not exclusionary.
- · Not Hindutva-in-Tamil. The analogy-not-identity discipline from Chapter II of the Divine Science cluster applies here throughout. Structural rhymes only — never derivation, never priority.
- · Not a repatriation demand in TLTE voice. Dossier 07 (Polonnaruwa bronzes) is ICPRCP-indexable — meaning the filing pathway exists; whether it is used is a matter for accredited counsel and the affected trustees.
- · Not a Sinhalese-people-bad frame. The critique is of a 19th-century colonial retrojection of the Mahāvaṃsa into a modern ethnic narrative, a move which mainstream Sinhala historiography (Gunawardana, Indrapala, Sivasundaram) already contests.
- · Not perpetrator-naming or on-the-ground intake. The Karuna/Pillayan Tier-A exception from the Eastern Command sub-spine does not extend to this cluster.
- · Not a substitute for peer review. Every load-bearing citation is named, dated, and published — the reader is expected to verify.
