A people who refuse collapse into armed spectacle need their restraint made visible. This record does that while refusing to disappear the conduct of those who carry force and administrative power.

Civilian refusal of armed relapse

The defence layer begins from a refusal to romanticise rearmament. It preserves the moral and documentary asymmetry of a civilian people under pressure.
