காச்சதீவு — பாக்கு நீரிணை ஆவணம்Katchatheevu and the Palk Strait Civic File

Katchatheevu is a 285-acre uninhabited island in the Palk Strait. Sovereignty was formalised as Sri Lankan under two binding maritime instruments — the 1974 India–Sri Lanka Maritime Boundary Agreement and the 1976 follow-on agreement — which together delimited fishing rights across the Palk Strait, Gulf of Mannar, and Bay of Bengal. This hub reads the Katchatheevu question as a livelihood file, not a retrocession campaign: Tamil Nadu fisher arrests must be paired with northern Sri Lankan Tamil fishing recovery. Both agreements are always cited together; neither is minimised.
