Distribution ledger

Every sealed stone appears here with four fields and no more: serial, batch, era day of issue, and — only where a holder volunteered it — a country at coarse resolution. Holders are never named. No address, no city, no coordinate is recorded anywhere in this system.

The ledger is append-only. A stone is never removed from it, because a stone that has left circulation is still evidence that a copy of the record was made and held.
