TLTE Citation Record
Tier AR v Vinayagamoorthy & Ors (Supreme Court of Victoria)
Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia · [2010] VSC 148, 31 March 2010 (King J)
tlte-cite:vinayagamoorthy-vsc-2010Editorial gloss
Tamil-Australian diaspora-finance conviction. The judgment is routinely cited in maintenance assessments to argue that the LTTE's international dimension survived independently of the Sri Lanka-based command in the lead-up to May 2009. Analogous prosecutions have been brought in Canada and Switzerland. Independent of the merits, the prosecution record is evidential weight against deproscription claims that rest on factual cessation alone.
