Second country-specific UN SG report (1 November 2006 – 31 August 2007). Records 262 LTTE-recruited children (incl. 32 re-recruited) — a significant reduction from 756 in the prior 12-month period — versus 207 TMVP/Karuna-faction recruitments (incl. 45 re-recruited) — an increase. 78% of TMVP-faction reports concentrated in Batticaloa district: 162 Batticaloa, 27 Ampara, 11 Trincomalee, 7 Polonnaruwa.
