What we will never do

The Archive's discipline starts with what it refuses. These are not aspirations — they are operational rules enforced in code, configuration, and editorial review.

Rule · 01

No public comments, no reactions, no upvotes

The Archive is not a social feed. Discussion lives inside the Workspace under named Circles or in the partner MOU network — never as anonymous comment threads on a citation page.

Rule · 02

No drip-marketing emails, ever

We do not run a marketing list. The only outbound email is the plain-text Archival Update digest, sent only to readers who explicitly request it, with a one-click unsubscribe and no tracking pixel.

Rule · 03

No GA, no Meta Pixel, no behavioural trackers on authenticated pages

Public pages may use Plausible (cookieless, EU-hosted). The Workspace and /n/ note shares carry no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting, no remarketing tags.

Rule · 04

No Witness counts, no leaderboards, no streaks

We do not gamify accountability work. Witness contribution counts are private to the Witness and reviewing Keepers. No public profile pages, no badges, no engagement metrics.

Rule · 05

AI crawlers blocked on /case/ and /workspace

The Self-Determination Case File and the private Workspace are excluded from GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot, anthropic-ai, and Bytespider. Velicham — our own grounded reasoner — does not crawl; it reads the in-bundle citations registry directly.

Rule · 06

No institutional X / Twitter account

We do not maintain an X account. Updates are published here, in the Continuity Changelog, and (for opted-in readers) in the Archival Update digest. We do not feed an attention economy that has been demonstrably hostile to Tamil-civic reporting.

Rule · 07

No survivor intake, no naming, no aggregation in TLTE voice

The Magalir Avai, Unmai desks, and Witness protocol all defer to PEARL, ITJP, OHCHR, OMP, and accredited national bodies. TLTE does not collect testimony, does not name perpetrators, does not publish its own count on any contested figure.
