Verify a Continuity Announcement

The conditions are public on purpose. Any deviation from them is evidence of fraud, not of urgency.

Real announcements look like this

  • Published on docs.tlte.cloud at /continuity, /continuity-guard, or /continuity/verify.
  • References a level (0–5) and an entry in the public continuity_events log.
  • Signed by at least four named Continuity Council roles plus an external witness.
  • Recorded in the Continuity Changelog (append-only, public).

Fraud signals

  • Sent only via social media, email forward, or third-party press release.
  • Claims a single named successor or 'new founder'.
  • Asks anyone to send money, transfer assets, or hand over access.
  • Releases personal medical, family, or location information about the founder.
  • Demands urgent action without referencing the documented level threshold.
  • Cannot be cross-checked against the public continuity_events log.

If you are unsure

  1. Visit /continuity directly. Do not trust forwarded screenshots.
  2. Cross-check against the public continuity event log. If no matching entry exists, the announcement is not real.
  3. Confirm the signatures match the seven documented Council roles.
  4. Contact through a previously-known channel before acting on anything financial or access-related.
  5. When in doubt: do nothing. A real continuity event is never urgent in the first 72 hours.
