Subject: MPhil/PhD application - additional documents for the file

Dear Postgraduate Research Admissions,

My MPhil/PhD application to Politics and International Studies for September
2026 entry currently shows no decision, and I am writing only to add two short
documents to the file: a two-page research progress note recording material
added to my research corpus since submission, and a one-page statement of the
publications the doctorate would produce.

Both are attached and uploaded to the portal; nothing in the original
application has changed.

If it would be appropriate, may I approach a named academic in the department
directly to discuss supervisory fit, and if so, is there a preferred route for
doing that while an application is open?
